Choral Members
Annual Subscription
(Season 2008-2009) £60

New Members are always welcome and we offer an attractive Bursary Scheme to young singers under 25. If you are interested in singing in the choir, please contact the Registrar. Entry is subject to an audition by the Musical Director who, besides a good singing voice, will be looking for some sight reading ability and general musicality. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 9:30 in Manvers St. Baptist Church, Bath. The choir is nominally 135 voices. Singers admitted to the choir will be expected to attend rehearsals regularly and take part in our full concert programme.

Associate Members
Annual Subscription £10 per household

We have approximately 200 Associate Members made up predominantly of regular concert goers and supporters. They are members of the society for all purposes other than singing, including attendance at General Meetings. They are given the same access to the priority booking arrangements as Choral Members. In addition they will be invited to join in some choir functions. If you wish to join please apply to the Associate Membership Secretary.

Associate Members are automatically included on the mailing list.

Choral Bursaries

In accordance with one of our charitable aims; to educate in the art of music; we have successfully run a Bursary Scheme for young singers for a number of years. Bursary holders  are exempt from  subscription charges and are provided with a series of singing lessons paid for by the society. Other discretionary assistance may also be provided. Bursaries are open to singers up to age 25 and are subject to an audition. As well as our normal vocal standards, the Musical Director will be looking for candidates that will benefit from the opportunity afforded by a Bursary. Please contact the Registrar for more details.

our Student Bursaries are supported by Stone King Sewell solicitors
